When
Sunday, August 17, noon to 6pm

Del Mar Thoroughbred Club at the Del Mar Racetrack, in the infield
What
The tradition of wearing hats at the races has taken on a new twist! Adults may have enjoyed the colorful hats on opening day, but when the kids of San Diego take over on Sunday August 17th, watch out!
The Children’s Museum/Museo de los Niños San Diego will host the Museum Without Walls in the infield to provide free hands-on art activities and entertainment for all ages.
Teaming with local organizations and artists, the days’ highlights include painting horses, creating wearable art, and the Rad Hatter. Families will also be able to meet Sponge Bob Squarepants and enjoy lots of activities including a petting zoo, rockclimbing walls, and pony rides.
